After a busy few weeks practising for the Senior Cup the bands efforts were rewarded by third place. Elgar Variations by Martin Ellerby offered many challenges for all parts of the band. In addition to being awarded third place principal euphonium David Johnston was presented with the best Soloist prize and the band receives an invitation to compete in the Grand Shield 2009.
