Once again the band took part in the Annual Grand Shield contest held in the Winter Gardens Opera House.The test piece was Contest Music by Wilfred Heaton, a favourite with many. The band was the first on stage and although the band did not find favour with the adjudicators on this occasion the band presented a very credible performance doing Coventry proud.
