Third place at Pontins Championships

Pontins, Prestatyn was a long day for the band. Drawn last band adjudicators Dr Roy Newsome and Major Peter Parkes awarded the bands patience with a credible third place.

The test peice for the day was a transcription for brass band by Bram Gay of Les Preludes by Liszt. Credit should be given to principal cornet Darren Lea who moved to the soprano chair and Kaitlin Wild who sat principal cornet for the first time at only 15 years of age. The band is grateful to them for stepping in at such short notice due to a family emergence.

4barsrest commented "A confident contest closing performance from Jaguar (Coventry) gave Dave Lea and his band a well deserved podium finish in third."

Here you see Kaitlin with principal tuba Mick Wild (and father) celebrating with the cup.
