This weekend the band was awarded runner-up prize in the the Midland area regional brass band contest held at Bedworth Civic Hall and will now be one of two band representing the Midlands at the National Finals on the 20th October at the Albert Hall in London.
The test piece on this occasion was Derek Bourgeois 'The Devil and The Deep Blue Sea'. A notoriously difficult work testing all members of the band.

Speaking in a interview for the online magazine 4barsrest, Musical Director Dave Lea stated "We have been making real progress over the last two years, playing with consistency and confidence on the contest stage. We have a settled personnel, a great spirit in the band and a self belief that we can go on from here and make a real impression at the Grand Shield."
Comments on the performance included "Jaguar had some nice things especially in the slow music .. Terrific ending" and "Jaguar Land Rover deliver a dramatic devil in Bedworth .."
