Solihull Arts Centre - The Macmillan New Year Prom

The band was delighted to return to Solihull and support Macmillan Cancer Relief. Joined by the Merlin Singers the evening consist of the complete spectrum of music from the Overture to the Opera 'Rienzi' through to Peter Grahams Call of the Cossacks. Soloists for the evening included Craig Stevens, cornet playing 'This is My Story' and 'Rhapsody for Trombone' by trombonist Peter Stares.

"A full auditorium enjoyed a fantastic evening’s entertainment with a varied programme from the band. A total of £1990 was raised which will help to continue to fund vital cancer care services in the Birmingham, Solihull and Sandwell area. Our grateful thanks go to everyone who has supported the evening to make it such a success and we are now looking forward to next year’s event." Kate Skinner, Macmillan's Cancer Relief.
